well almost...

Sunday is almost over and that's the end of the weekend... : (
Which means that Monday is almost here... and with it work... and daycare...

We've had an alright weekend... slightly miserable with all of the sickness... But hey, as long as I'm with my boys its paradise! :D

I really want to try to get Austin outside today to take some new pics... Its about that time... and besides, he just looks so cute with his new LSU jersey on.... But he is in a horrible mood, so it will have to wait a while... at least until he takes a nap (hopefully he will)...

Well, I hear him crying, so I'm off to rescue him! ;)

Its friday...

and I'm at home... so I should be happy right??



Well, its not exactly the way I'd like to spend a Friday at home...

I'm sick... I've had a horrible upset stomach since last night...



Austin had a fever last night of 102... he hanging around like 101ish today...



so we are just ... .blah....



We drove out to the house yesterday... They haven't poured the slab yet.. .we are schedule to be poured Wed-Friday... so I'm guessing today??



It was framed for the slab... so exciting... I took pics... but they are in the camera still.. so i will load them later....

Right now Austin is bringing me toys... I guess he is empting his toy box? and he keeps telling me that they (the toys) want to cover up... So, I'm sure I look pretty funny with a lap full of toys... covered in ablanket...lol kids are funny...

Tuesday = Therapy

Well, we finally caught up with Mrs. Lisa... Austin's therapist... its been since the begining of August since he last saw her... The hurricane really screwed us up... but we had our session today... Well, actually they are still out side finishing up... :)

I'm inside with the dogs and trying to finish cooking supper....


....of course as I typed that they finished and came in....
Austin is still doing well... He is even almost able to climb stairs alone! :D



We measured him today to get some polywog inserts for his shoes... They look like this:

I don't know when he will get them... we have to order them... and then wait to see if our Insurance will cover them... then have MDA cover them if not.... *sigh* but he'll get them... eventually! :)

Anyway, I guess that's about it...

So the weather was nice... Mike was planning on playing tennis with a friend at the park...

Austin and I decided to tag along ...

So, the weekend is over

but I've got internet!

Austin didn't take a nap today, so he's been asleep since like 6:30? poor baby... he was so tired... but yes, he did eat, and he got a bath... ;)

We got him some news shoes this weekend... .and he picked them out...




I also picked up a few new clothes for him (some shirts mainly)....



They should be pouring the slab in 3 days!!!! I am so excited! I will definately have pics when that happens...

We are online!

We finally made the call and got Cox to come set up the internet at home! YAY!

TGIF

Well, today is Friday...

This week seems like that has just flown by.... and we are less then a week away from the pouring of the slab. Which just blows my mind...

This weekend is the Auburn LSU game... So it’s a “big” game... to me... any LSU game is a “big” game... it’s the only ones I really watch... lol :) But that means that since its coming on ESPN that we will have company... which is fine with me, makes the games a little more interesting... lol

I am going to try to go shopping this weekend... I am not sure when... maybe Sunday? Maybe even tonight... I just don’t know... But I have to get Austin some news clothes and some tennis shoes... its been cool in the mornings and then only shoes he can wear with socks are his crocs... so I’m going to have to get some tennis shoes for him... and he just needs some more “cool weather” clothes...

Good news... we will be getting internet at home Sunday... so look for some videos... I am going to upload some to You Tube... :)

I guess that’s all for now.. I need to get some work done.

UPDATE!!!

Oh how I have missed my blogging...
Things are getting back to normal... and that of course means craziness has taken over.
Friday as Hurricane Ike started sending bands to the Baton Rouge area, Ms. Rhonda (the babysitter) lost power and had to shut down last minute... So I didn’t go in to work... I had no sitter... Instead we (Austin and myself) spent the day at my mom’s house... Until we got a phone call from Mike saying that Jimmy had just called and we had power!!!!

THANK GOD!!!

I was so excited.... As we finished lunch, I loaded Austin up in the truck and headed home to turn on the AC ....

Right as I drove up a friend from work called to tell me that they had been dis-missed from work a few minutes ago. We talked for a little while and then I called Mike to make sure he was coming home.

We shut all the windows and then left to go get our stuff from Mike’s grandparent’s house... (who by the way were wonderful and made us feel so at home. I love you both!!) Since Austin was sleeping by this time we left him at the Nanny & Paw’s so we could clean up at home with out his “help”.... then we made a stop by Mike’s parents to get Oreo... (Valentine was at Nanny & Paw’s with us)... So we got home ... and got some cleaning accomplished (the refridgerator and freezer.... and a few other things) After that we headed to Walmart to pickup a few things for the weekend and then back to get Austin...

Saturday was the LSU football game... YAY! Go Tigers!!!
We all loaded up in the truck and went shopping... For nothing really just to go I guess... Austin did need a new LSU shirt... and we picked up his costume for Halloween... Which I love!!! But it’s a surprise... I promise there will be a ton of pictures though!
Then we watched the game with some friends...

Sunday we actually went back to Walmart to go grocery shopping and get EVERYTHING since our fridge was completely empty....

Oh, and I forgot!
We got the call...
They got the permit!!!!! YAY!

We had our team meeting yesterday afternoon with Kyle...
He was nice, and we got to get a few minute last things taken care of.
We found out that they should be pouring the slab Wednesday and then the frame will start going up Friday.
Kyle said that as long as we don’t have any more hurricanes it should all be finished before Christmas... (which is what we are secretly hoping for)
I can not even tell you how glad I am to hear that!

So that’s it... things are back to normal here in Paradise.

September 11th

Can you believe that its been 7 years?
7 years since the day that America was attacked?
I don’t think I’ll ever forget that day...
I don’t think that anyone will...

I just want to ask that everyone says a prayer for all those families who lost loved ones on that day.

Storm Skies - Hurricane Gustav

Ok, so here are a few pictures of the sky before and during the storm... I know it isn't much... but I will try to load some more tonight...


These first ones were taken around 5:30 pm on Sunday (8-31-08)... we were watching the clouds moving in... we were gettting some light rain showers on and off... the temperature was dropping and it was a little breezy.... which is not at all common around here...

These pictures were taken at about 8:00 pm Sunday night... we were loading the truck and trying to get everything packed up so we could get out... and of course when I saw this purple band I had to stop and dig out the camera... The hard rain started about 45 mins or so after these pictures were taken...

These last few pictures were taken Monday (9-1-08) morning at about 7 am... It was really amazing to sit and watch how fast the clouds were moving by... I just can't describe it... the wind was really picking up... They said it was about tropical storm strength at this time... and it was raining...

Ok, well that's all for now... I've got video and more so I will load as I can...

The sun is out!

You know... I'm a lucky girl...

I'm tired and crabby and I just want to go home... but I'm lucky!

Power is still out at home... but I'm at work freezing my tail off... I've actually got my heater on...
And when I get off I get to go "home" to My grandparent-inlaws' house...
I will have a warm meal... a hot shower... and a bed to sleep in...

I got Lisa's comment today in my email.. I haven't checked much because of the storm and she mentioned my not so good day... I just want ya'll to all know that the sun is out again...

I am loving my life in "paradise" ... my paradise has just changed a little...
I'm not in the comforts of my own home... but I am in the comforts of a home...
And a loving home at that...

Our trailer is fine... the most damage we have is the shingles missing from our storage shed... and the lack of power for what is it? a week?

I know that the power companies are working hard to get us back on and I am thankful that they are doing so...

I still haven't gotten all of my pictures loaded from the storm... but I will check out what I have and maybe I will get a few posted today... If not I will try to load some more tonight...

Things are going ok... 

We are all sick right now... 

Austin has a lot of chest congestion... a horrible cough... a runny nose... and the beginnings of a fever.

Mike's got a pretty bad cough... 

I've got some horrible nasal congestion and a drip that is giving me a sore throat... 

don't we just sound like a bucket of joy?

Anyway, I just wanted to post a quick little update...

I will try to put up some pictures and video from the storm later...

trees down everywhere... they said power will be out for WEEKS... yuck...
